How do I find the Minneapolis Congregation?

Community of Christ in Minneapolis is located at the corner of 49th and Emerson Avenue.   Street parking is allowed in front, and additional parking is in the back from the alley off 49th.

Where do I go when I get there?

There are handicap accessible entrances from both Emerson and the rear parking lot. The sanctuary is upstairs and the fellowship hall is downstairs, both can be accessed by the elevator.  The nursery is at ground level, as well as handicap accessible bathrooms.

Are you handicap accessible?

The main entrances are at ground level, and there is an elevator that can access all other floors.

What should I wear?

Dress on Sunday leans toward casual, however you will find people dressed in their Sunday best and others in blue jeans, a t-shirt, and flip flops. Wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable, we are just glad you came!

Is this a child-friendly congregation?

YES!! Children are an important part of the Minneapolis congregation. Children are always welcome during the 11 am worship. We cherish the ministry shared by persons of all ages, and this includes our children. You will find children participating in worship services through prayer, music, testimony, and focus moments. They often serve as greeters and help in taking up the offertory.

Classes are offered on Sunday mornings at 9:45 am.

What is worship like?

Expect variety. Because the services are planned by a variety of people and the service leadership and participants change from week to week, no two services will ever be exactly alike. Some will be more traditional, others more contemporary, and most somewhere in-between. All will provide opportunity for you to share in music, scripture, and challenging words of hope, faith, and the love of Jesus Christ.

What activities are available besides classes and worship?

Throughout the year there are many opportunities for fun and fellowship. Here are just a few of the experiences you can look forward to:
